This morning the children have taken part in team building challenges. Together they had to overcome lots of different challenges as a team to work on many different skills. We are now on the bus on the way home!

The Stepping Stones
Some pictures from this morning at the stepping stones. This afternoon the children swapped over activities from yesterday. We also launched our egg rockets!
Walking to Dovedale
We have had breakfast and are currently on our walk to Dovedale stepping stones. It’s an hour and a half walk there and the same back. On the way to the stepping stones we have stopped to search for fossils. As quoted by the staff at Ilam “we are the most organised group ever.”
When we finally reached the stepping stones we all managed to cross them. It’s been a good adventure morning 🙂
Egg Rockets
We have had our sausage and mash or jacket potato. We are now creating our own space explorer stories before making our own egg rockets! These will be launched tomorrow! There is a competition to see whose goes the highest! 
Day 1 activities
Once we were settled and had our dinner we got split into two groups.
One group went off orienteering and the other carried out a mini beast hunt and habitat building. Tomorrow the children will swap over groups and do the opposite activity.
We are currently waiting for our tea to be ready whilst listening to the latest instalment of our class novel ‘The Explorer’
All Checked in
We have arrived and checked into our rooms. Everyone is happy with their bedrooms and have unpacked.
And we are off….
We have left school and we are on our way to Ilam. The journey so far has been smooth and full of songs from the children!
We are ready to go!
